Thank you, friends (who I know to be mostly from Europe), for continuing to return to this page on ActionLyme. Today is 090922 and I really have to update this page to include the likes of stuff from Russell Johnson where he talks about reculturing spirochetes from the L form in the 1989 IDSA reviews, which is Chapter 9 of Cryme Disease. Right now I am working on the False Religions page, but like usual, when I have to connect the dots, that means plunking related data in related pages, so that there is cohesion to the overall framework of who perpetrated this fraud, what the fraud is, why they got away with it for so long, why the medical establishment - the physicians - do nothing about it, and say nothing about it, and neither does the NIH. If the physicians are in doubt because of what happened to me, I invite you to scrutinize my medical records. One could not have had a plan all those years, ahead of time, to produce all those results. It would have been impossible. For instance, I did not even look at the 1988-9 Jesse Stoff Epstein-Barr data to see that I had chronic Epstein-Barr, until years after it was performed. No one told me I was positive for all those activated viruses, not even the person who ordered those tests. And how could I have had those exams in 1988-9, while at the same time, IDSA (Paul Duray) was publishing Epstein-Barr like changes in their Lyme manual, the Special Supplement, published at the same time as I went to Stoff? I did not even know about or what was in those journal articles until 2002, when I got them out of the Yale Medical Library.
You can retro-lie like that and make it all fit. All you can do when you know you're not a liar is to keep saying what is true, and then one day, the data will all fit. Because I am not a liar, I have so far been right about everything, especially about what I heard from the LYMErix victims in the Spring and Summer of 1999, upon which I contacted Karen Forschner and Dennis Parenti and asked what to do about all those people saying they "had Lyme again," after "getting the LYMErix vaccine?"
What they got was the immunosuppression-induced New Great Imitator outcomes, one of the likes of which appears to be activated latent viruses, like Epstein-Barr or (chronic) mononucleosis.Kathleen M. Dickson

Spheroplasts were generated from Borrelia burgdorferi by application of Tris-buffered lysozyme and EDTA. Cultures were examined during preparation by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and by negative staining and/or thin sectioning followed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Spirochete and spheroplast proteins were also compared by electrophoresis to determine the effect of outer membrane manipulation during spheroplast preparation on the amounts of two outer surface proteins, OspA and OspB. Periplasmic flagellar release from the confines of the outer membrane began at the earliest steps of the preparation process and increased with continued progress toward the spheroplast condition. With the addition of Tris alone, spirochete uncoiling and outer membrane disruption became apparent. Lysozyme addition resulted in the formation of electron-transparent blebs where the outer membrane separated from the cytoplasmic membrane. Despite the permeability of the outer membrane to the lysozyme and the apparent alterations in its structure, OspA and B showed no decrease in concentration throughout the spheroplast preparation process. It is suggested that the flagellar release that occurs during spheroplast production also occurs in the host during Lyme disease, accounting for early immune responses to flagellin.Journal of microbiological methods ISSN 0167-7012 CODEN JMIMDQ

Intracellular spirochetes in tick cells (spirochetes are intracellular)
Adhesion to and invasion of cultured tick (Acarina: Ixodidae) cells by Borrelia burgdorferi (Spirochaetales: Spirochaetaceae) and maintenance of infectivity.

Lyme disease spirochetes, Borrelia burgdorferi, interact with cultured tick cells in ways similar to those reported to occur in the vector Ixodes dammini Spielman, Clifford, Piesman & Corwin. Spirochete adhesion and penetration were examined using a cell line from embryos of Rhipicephalus appendiculatus Neumann that morphologically resembles tick gut cells, RAE25. Cocultivation of B. burgdorferi with these cells permitted prolonged maintenance of infectivity for hamsters. Borrelial adherence to RAE25 cells was time- and density-dependent and increased by 10-15% per h during the first 5.5 h of cocultivation when we used a concentration of 4 x 10(7) spirochetes/ml. After 6 h, > 90% of the cells bound an average of 3-5 spirochetes per cell. Low passage, hamster-infective strains of B. burgdorferi (JMNT and CD16) showed a 2-3-fold higher rate of adhesion to RAE25 cells than the highly passaged, noninfectious strain B31. Inactivation of CD16 or JMNT by heat, starvation, or treatment with puromycin reduced adherence by 40-60%, whereas pretreatment with monoclonal antibodies to the outer surface proteins had no effect. Spirochetes adhered to young I. dammini cell lines to a similar degree as they did to RAE25, whereas lines from the ticks Dermacentor variabilis (Say) (RML15) and Boophilus microplus (Canestrini) (BME26) bound 30-60% fewer spirochetes. Electron microscopy revealed epicellular borreliae associated with coated pits and vesicles before endocytosis, and intracellular spirochetes were surrounded by a host cell-derived membrane.

Lumbar puncture showed no selective concentration of antibody in the spinal fluid. Nevertheless, she was re-treated with 2 weeks of parenteral ceftriaxone in 1989 that had no effect on her neurologic symptoms. During the time of observation, this patient died. At autopsy, lymphoid mononuclear cells were observed surrounding the intracerebral vessels in one section. Using Dieterle silver stain, a spirochete was present in the cortex and another was exterior to a leptomeningeal vessel."

Either NYMC is taking these scientists for fools, or their is some formal cooperation to publish fraudulent science over the persistence of spirochetes, especially as dormant forms, and as regards intracellularity, both of which mean these spirochetes are not all killed by antibiotics, and that, Lyme is an incurable relapsing fever borreliosis (which we of course already knew). Anyone who has Chronic Lyme knows this is a real chronic relapsing illness. It's not something we all decided to imaginate together.

Durland Fish's "Journal" (remember, Durland Fish conspired with NIH's Edward McSweegan in 1995 to send Karen Forschner of the Lyme Disease Foundation "a bogus article" to publish in their journal, because he was mad that Karen found out that spirochetes infect in under 10 hours of a tick attachment, because that would interefere with the vaccine trials): He went on to start publishing his own journal so he could publish all the bogus articles he wanted.
