Neurologic abnormalities in Lyme disease without erythema chronicum migrans.

The clinical features in eight patients with neurologic abnormalities typical of Lyme disease and elevated titers of antibody to the spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi, its causative agent, are described. None of the patients had the diagnostic skin lesion, erythema chronicum migrans. Lyme arthritis, the other clinical marker for the disease, developed subsequently in only three. The neurologic abnormalities included aseptic meningitis, encephalitis, cranial neuritis, motor and sensory radiculitis, and myelitis in various combinations. The occurrence of severe encephalitis resulting in dementia in two of these patients and irreversible myelopathy in one enlarges the known spectrum of neurologic abnormalities due to infection with B. burgdorferi. Lyme disease can present with neurologic abnormalities without diagnostic extraneural features, can be suspected on clinical and epidemiologic grounds, and can be diagnosed serologically.

We live in a perpetual Lyme activist's HELL, just like the alleged-earthbound ghostez in them Ghost-Hunter TV shows. Nothing ever changes, despite 10+ frickin years of saying the exact same "We're crime victims" thing. In the non-health, non-care, non-reform debate the creeps in Washington never mention the crime of "Lyme Disease." This is the MAIN reason Lieberman and Dodd have to go. Think about it. Dodd and Lieberman have heard from us 700 thousand million times and they NEVER respond, they NEVER have returned a phone call, ever. 'Not ever once in over 10 years, despite yours truly having solved the entire crime from the Dearborn hoax to Pam3Cys TLR2-tolerance and immunosuppression (the cause of the Great Imitator outcomes), did I get a return phone call from either Lieberman or Dodd. You know this is true because who, then, prosecuted it? Who looked into the FACTS of the crime?
The Attorney General's office, and not any of our "elected representatives," and not the "Justice Department," and certainly not the FDA or the NIH. The CDC actually participated in the crime.

The CDC staff own patents in Europe which demonstrate that they know Dearborn or the current diagnostic standard for "Lyme Disease" is scientific fraud...

The causative agent of Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi, is a highly neurotropic organism that not only can produce symptomatic neurologic disease but also can exist dormant within the central nervous system (CNS) for long periods. Two distinct types of neuroborreliosis occur at different stages of Lyme disease. Second-stage Lyme meningitis resembles aseptic meningitis and is often associated with facial palsies, peripheral nerve involvement, and/or radiculopathies. Lyme meningitis may be the first evidence of Lyme disease, occurring without a history of erythema chronicum migrans or flu-like illness. Third-stage parenchymal involvement causes a multitude of nonspecific CNS manifestations that can be confused with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, brain tumor, and psychiatric derangements. Manifestations of CNS parenchymal involvement in Lyme disease are generally associated, however, with a history of erythema chronicum migrans, meningitis, or carditis. Both second- and third-stage Lyme neuroborrelioses are commonly misdiagnosed because they are relatively uncommon and because they mimic many better-known disorders.
