The following excerpts are from the
1994 FDA meeting about how
to determine Lyme vaccines outcomes..
The former CDC blood testing standard was to do sequential
Western Blots to confirm chronic Lyme. This is Ray Dattwyler arguing that serial
Western Blots is the way to correct diagnose Lyme; See page 33 (scroll down). They also state that they sampled spinal fluid and
found the Lyme spirochete infected the central nervous system in 2/3 cases where
the Lyme rash was present. That means people should be treated upon tick bite. Dattwyler also discusses TREATMENT FAILURE

Diseases.

"Dr. Ben Loft [Luft] and myself, and a
number of our colleagues, have looked at
early CNS invasion using PCR, and found
that, in individuals which [with]
multiple erythema migrans and major
constitutional symptems, that about two-
thirds of these individuals will have
Borrelia burgdorferi DNA in their
cerebral spinal fluid, which we take as
evidence of early central nervous system
invasion of this organism."
