"In summary, B. burgdorferi can induce a severe inhibition both in vivo and in vitro in NK cell cytotoxic capabilities. This is in contrast to other bacteria that are known to activate NK cells. While the inhibition appears to be directly related to spirochetal proliferation or concentration, the exact mechanism is unclear and is under active investigation. Interleukin-2 stimulation abrogates this inhibitory effect, possibly via the induction of LAK cells, which may be involved secondarily to the inhibited endogenous NK. More studies will be needed to elucidate these interactions and their full significance to the host-microorganism interaction.

1) those "crazy" people respond to the Anti-Chronic Epstein-Barr drug, Rituximab,
2) SmithKline admitted at the 1998 FDA Vaccine Meeting that exposure to OspA or LYMErix gave the same, "multisystem disease" that "chronic Lyme" is,:

5) Lyme activists/support groups saw this same Chronic Lyme-like result from OspA vaccination, too, which was why we reported these Chronic-Lyme-like outcomes to the FDA as the ActionLyme campaign to get these curiously Chronic Lyme-like outcomes to LYMErix reported to the FDA, between 1999 and 2000, after it came on the market:

Then all this means Yale, et al, and the Infectious Diseases society of Israel will have to retract all of their bullshit about Lyme because here it is in the mainstream Medical journals that the chronic exposure to fungal antigens like Lyme and LYMErix renders their immune cells "unresponsive" or "tolerant,"
and that that result was "DEADLY,"
That mechanism of tolerance or immunosuppression happens to be the key to nearly all diseases. MS, Lupus, ALS, Cancer, etc.
